It would be difficult for me to recall exactly when my passion for the digital world first began. I was about fourteen years old, learning DOS commands and working with Norton Commander. I remember being excited every time I entered the Informatics classroom and felt the familiar smell of computers in the air.
I completed the Informatics course and passed the final exam with excellence - by choice, as it was not required in order for me to graduate from high school or to receive the Graduate Gold Medal for Excellence.
About a year before graduation, I began learning Pascal. Soon I became known for my computer skills within my immediate social environment. At the time, I was assembling desktop computers, installing and configuring software and hardware, and resolving a wide variety of technical issues.
Around the year 2000, I dedicated myself to learning C++ and Visual C++. Apart from coding exercises, I assisted in the development of a bookkeeping application. In my spare time, I was also developing an RPG game.
In September 2005, I enrolled at Goethe University in Frankfurt. I studied Computer Science for seven years and earned a Master’s Degree in 2012.
The program included a wide range of projects where I applied my previous experience while gaining a vast amount of new knowledge and skills, including:
A deeper understanding of the relationship between programming and mathematics
The core principles, history, and logic of programming
The importance of continuous self-education in an ever-evolving digital world
Building complex applications
Working on large projects as part of a team
Presenting complicated information in a clear and simple way
In March 2014, I launched my independent IT consulting and web development practice in Los Angeles. My services included, but were not limited to, the following:
Building a web presence from the ground up, as well as from existing designs and concepts
Website and web application development
SEO and UX optimization of websites and digital platforms
Web hosting setup, server configuration, and domain management
Website deployment, maintenance, and performance optimization

Since June 2021, I have been serving as an IT Manager at Shore Hotel in Santa Monica, where I oversee the technological infrastructure and digital operations supporting daily business activities. In addition to Shore Hotel, our IT operations also support two sister properties, ensuring stable and secure systems across all three hotels.
My responsibilities include managing the network infrastructure, wireless systems, servers, and workstations while maintaining reliability, security, and performance of the overall IT environment. I administer cloud services such as Microsoft 365, implement cybersecurity measures, and safeguard company data and digital resources.
I also support and maintain critical hospitality systems, including property management platforms, payment processing systems, integrations with third-party hospitality services, and various operational technologies used by hotel staff.
Beyond the hotel operations, I am also responsible for the technical infrastructure supporting Shoreside Restaurant, ensuring smooth operation of its network, POS systems, and digital services.
My role regularly involves troubleshooting complex technical issues, coordinating with technology vendors and service providers, implementing new systems, and continuously improving digital workflows to support efficient hotel and restaurant operations.
